CMD Recruitment is pleased to be working with this FE College to recruit a coordinator to work in the Inclusion Team with SEN learners
As a SEND Coordinator, you will work with a caseload of 16-25-year-old SEND Learners with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) where the Learners are primarily accessing entry levels 1, 2 & 3, and level 1 Foundation programmes in college.
The successful candidate will
Provide cover teaching on SEND courses where curriculum staff are absent, ensuring continuity of delivery.
Be committed to a learner-centered approach in their work methods
Be flexible and confident with excellent interpersonal skills.
Have a strong commitment to equality and diversity and to working with people who have faced a range of challenges and support needs.
You will require good organizational and administrative skills and you will have a proven track record for meeting the needs of learners with a variety of learning difficulties and disabilities.
In addition, the post holder will be required to maintain professional and effective relationships with a wide range of internal and external partners including colleagues from the Local Authorities
Qualifications and skills required
A teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one
Demonstrate a thorough understanding of issues relating to learners with a range of support needs including those with profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD)
