Logistics Operations Administrator
The company has been established for nearly 40 years; we offer air, road and ocean freight services, alongside UK and worldwide courier services. The company is known for the excellent and flexible all-round service given to its customers and the operations team is key to this service.
The Role is an administrative role in a busy transport office working closely with drivers, management and the administrative team.
You will be working in all areas of transport administration but with an emphasis on the Pallet Business, therefore Pallet experience is an advantage.
You will accept collections from depots, book in consignments, and download and process jobs from the pallet portal.
Your role includes assisting in producing and resolving issues raised on the KPI reports printing labels, and bar code trunk headers as well as assisting with routing, planning, and providing cover for holidays and other absences.
You will also be required to liaise and provide support to the drivers, warehouse staff and sales team. The Candidate We are looking for a reliable, self-motivated candidate, who is willing to learn and work as part of a team.
They should have experience of working in a transport office, have excellent attention to detail and be competent in IT with software skills that include Microsoft office.
The successful candidate will be supported in learning how to use our operating systems including pallets, couriers and freight. Knowledge of Health and Safety systems would be an advantage, but we can train.
This is a permanent full-time position. Working hours: Shift Pattern, but generally 9.00 am to 5.30 pm Monday to Friday (working hours may vary depending on workload and requirements of the business). You may be required to work one every four Saturday mornings.
Salary: from £25,000.00 per annum depending on experience.
