
My client is looking for a Junior Metallurgist to join their manufacturing business located in Bath.
The main function of the role is supporting the manufacturing function who produce precision components for various industries including Aerospace and Automotive. Most of the role will be the hardness testing of products, using various machines and other duties within the role of Junior Metallurgist are:
- Sample preparation
- Material testing
- Optical microscope use
- Hardness testing
- Heat treatment review
- Raw material analysis
- Report writing
Working hours:
The role will involve working a 39-hour working week Monday to Friday on a day shift pattern.
Candidate specification:
The successful candidate will have relevant engineering qualifications, or my client will consider a graduate looking for their first role in industry.

- A good understanding of use and maintenance of hardness machines
