Our client is a small manufacturing company and they are now looking to recruit an experienced and driven Financial Controller to join their growing business. This exciting opportunity will see you have the chance to improve internal processes and procedures – a chance to make your mark!

Key Responsibilities;-

• To perform all usual tasks and responsibilities of an FC in a growing manufacturing business.
• Responsible for the redesign and implementation of new processes and procedures within the business. 
• Produce informative budgets, forecasts, KPI’s and monthly management accounts and present these in a manner that provides key stakeholders with timely and meaningful insight into the past, present, and future performance of the company.
• Prepare annual accounts in accordance with UK GAAP and support the auditors and tax advisors to allow them to complete their work in a timely and efficient manner.
• Work with the MD to continually improve the performance of the company: preparing financial reports and analysis to support improved decision making on strategic and operational matters.
• Work with their operations team to provide accurate financial analysis to support accurate job costing for quoting purposes and to provide post completion follow up reviews to measure actual profitability of each job completed.
• Work across all areas of the business to identify process improvements, operational efficiencies and opportunities to improve profitability.
• Collaborate with the broader management team on strategic and operational matters by providing commercial insight and reliable financial analysis.
• As a senior member of the management team, you will support the development of a winning culture throughout the business.

Experience

• A fully qualified accountant (ACCA or CIMA preferred)
• A minimum of 4 years’ experience working as a senior member of a finance and accounting department
• Experience of working in a manufacturing business
• A curious, motivated and driven team player
• Highly commercial, able to operate as a trusted business partner to the MD
