The purpose of the role is dual function – both to oversee the day to day running of the books, preparation of management accounts and reporting to the Group, but also to act as a partner to the business to provide on the ground support for financial decision making, analysis and improve current ways of working.  The successful candidate will become an integral part of the Finance Team working with the senior management at the Company and Group level, helping to drive the business forward.

The main duties (but not limited to) are the following: –

  • Overseeing the day to day running of the bookkeeping 
  • Production of Monthly Management Accounts
  • Liaising with Group and providing a narrative to support the variances in numbers
  • Act as a partner to the business, supporting them with financial decision
  • Develop meaningful reporting and analysis
  • Review and improve financial processes and controls
  • PAYE/VAT and Corp tax returns
  • Other duties as per the job description

The successful candidate must have: –

  • ACCA/ACA/CIMA or equivalent
  • Self-motivated & independent – as you will be working remotely from the Group team
  • Experience in preparing management accounts, including forecasting and planning
  • Leadership skills – both leading peers, junior team members and senior management
  • Ability to partner and support changes to processes and ways of working
  • Excellent communication skills
