Deputy Open Spaces Operations Manager

Our client is looking for a Deputy Open Spaces Operational Manager to join their busy team on a full time permanent basis. Within this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that service standards are met within public open spaces.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Operations Manager in the day-to-day management of public open spaces, including grounds maintenance, cemetery services, litter collection, tree care etc.
- Manage and schedule staff according to workload
- Order equipment, materials, plants as needed
- Assist in the design and delivery of floral displays
- Support the Open Spaces Manager with the planning and execution of festive light displays
- Maintain service records for buildings, play areas and equipment
- Record and update health and safety records
- Deal health and safety incidents in an accurate and timely manner
- Investigate and report customer complaints
- Work towards performance targets agreed upon by the management team
Skills and Experience:
- Practical experience of horticulture maintenance
- Experience in using general maintenance tools, mowers, strimmers, hedge cutters etc.
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Knowledge of Health and Safety requirements and responsibilities
Travel around the local area is required so a full, clean driving license is essential.
The working hours for this role is Monday to Friday with very occasional weekend and evening work.
